During the IUCN World Conservation Congress 2025, held in Abu Dhabi, the International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA) showcased its commitment to big-cat conservation through multiple technical sessions and engagements.

The Congress was attended by Mr. Soumitra Dasgupta (Director Programme), Dr. Kausik Banerjee (Lead Specialist) and Dr. Joydeep Bose (Regional Coordinator, CA|TS).

Conservation Assured Tiger Standards (CA|TS) Session

IBCA, in partnership with the IUCN Asia Office, organized a dedicated session titled “Conservation Assured Tiger Standards (CA|TS): Towards global standards for big cats and other flagship species” at the IUCN Green List Pavilion on 11 October 2025.

The session covered the history and purpose of “Conservation Assured (CA)” and CA|TS, benefits, structure, and synergistic alignment with the IUCN Green List. IBCA’s roadmap as the new host and secretariat of CA|TS was also presented.

The session included the launch of the CA|TS Manual Version 3.0 (September 2025), upgrading from the previous Version 2.1 (2020), followed by a panel discussion.
