H.E. Mr. Armando Pedro Muiuane Junior, High Commissioner of the Republic of
Mozambique to India, paid a courtesy call on
Dr. S. P. Yadav, Director General, International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA),
at the IBCA Headquarters in New Delhi.
During the meeting, Dr. Yadav provided an overview of the vision,
objectives, institutional framework, and membership modalities of the
International Big Cat Alliance, highlighting its role as a global platform
for fostering collaboration among big cat range countries.
The discussions explored opportunities for strengthening cooperation in
big cat conservation through international partnerships, knowledge
exchange, capacity building, and collaborative conservation initiatives.
Both sides emphasized the importance of coordinated global efforts to
address conservation challenges and promote sustainable management of
big cat populations and their habitats.
The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of the
International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA) and the
Republic of Mozambique to advancing international
cooperation for the long-term conservation of big cats and their habitats,
while strengthening partnerships among range countries for biodiversity
conservation.
